ghost story

Formed in 2003 during the afterbirth of 90's alternative rock, Ghost Story would best be described as progressive modern rock music for schizophrenics. With influences ranging from Led Zeppelin to Placebo, Ghost Story melds classic rock dynamics with melancholy lyrics and punk rock attitude. The resulting sound is a raw and emotive hell ride through space that has been compared to The Pixies, Iggy and The Stooges, Blur, and The Smashing Pumpkins.

Within 3 months of forming, Ghost Story had already gained enough interest to warrant going into the studio to record. Their self produced EP WAKEMEWHENITSOVER was recorded in 16 hours at Great Western Record Recorders in Tolono, IL. The EP was mixed and engineered by Matt Talbot (former lead singer and guitarist of HUM), and was mastered by Dan Stout (Chicago Recording Company, editor for the Flaming Lips LP “Transmissions From The Satellite Heart”) at Colossal Mastering in Chicago, IL.
